Representative Garden Design Projects
North Hollywood Lawn to Garden Design
The water thirsty front lawn and tired planting beds of this Los Angeles bungalow were redesigned with the Owners to incorporate a natural boulder seating area, stone walkway, mulched perennial planting berms with play area, and three succulent accent beds. Drip irrigation was installed using existing sprinkler head converters. Local and state rebates were obtained by the Owners which more than paid for the project.
Danville Hacienda Gardens
This lovely home was designed and built by its Owners. The front beds feature sun loving cacti, succulents, and flowering dry garden shrubs as well as shade tolerant cycads, agaves, dasylirions and hardy palms. The poolside beds include both sunny and shady areas as well as a number of container plantings.

Walnut Creek Patio Garden
This front yard patio garden was transformed from a mass of overgrown common Agave species to a manageable pallette of CA native plants and currated smaller scale succulents. The garden's low profile now compliments the linearity of the Eichler architecture, and the Owners continue to embrace the structure of the initial plantings with thoughtful additions and gardening.

San Leandro Office Building Garden
A large stone wall with strong morning exposure is the perfect canvas for a business office entry garden of predominantly columnar and barrel cacti. The unarmed leaves of agaves and a Nolina hybrid soften the living sculpture.
